CSC 781 (thesis research course) will meet this Thursday, October 3, from 5:00-6:00pm in Manchester 17. Dr. Burg will discuss research opportunities in the area of digital multimedia. Dr. Burg will talk about her experience writing textbooks for digital media and digital sound and music. She will also present research ideas related to algorithmic music composition via remote sensing of gestures; remote sensing combined with musical feedback as a motivator for physical therapy; and image processing algorithms to transform 2D images to 3D sculptures printable by 3D printers.
There is also a rumor that the challenge pizza will become more challenging…
Again, the seminar course is an opportunity for you to learn about possible thesis (graduate and undergraduate-honors) and project topics. Note, the seminar series does not require any preliminary work or prerequisite courses. All CS grads and majors are welcome!
