The One-Person Startup: Building a Real MVP with an AI Coding Agent by Dr. Ron Doyle

Join us Monday, October 19 at 4:00 PM in Alumni Hall 286! Dr. Ron Doyle will share his insight on topic entitled The One-Person Startup: Building a Real MVP with an AI Coding Agent.

Building a startup’s first working version used to take a team of engineers weeks. In this seminar we’ll build one live, from an empty folder to a public web app. It will let users sign in, upload a photo and get an AI analysis of it, running on a real stack: React, Express, Supabase and AWS. You’ll see how to direct an AI coding agent with short, plain-English prompts, and what to do when it gets something wrong. We’ll also cover why the AI model is a swappable part: the product is everything you build around it. Whether you write code, design systems or pitch companies, you’ll leave knowing what it now takes to turn an idea into something customers can click on.
