Bruno Belkhiter

Mr. Belkhiter is an Adjunct Professor of Computer Science. He completed his undergraduate and master’s degrees in Electrical Engineering at the University of Pittsburgh. He continued to earn his PhD in Electrical Engineering with an emphasis on Image Processing and Computer Vision while working in industry and collaborating with Carnegie Mellon University Robotics Institute. He is also an alumnus of Wake Forest Graduate School of Business.

Mr. Belkhiter has four decades of experience in software development serving in multiple roles from Software Engineer to Director of Product Development for a multinational software company with over 100 development locations worldwide. Upon retirement from a successful consulting career leading software-enabled business transformations for global companies, Mr. Belkhiter joined the faculty of Wake Forest University in Spring 2023 to teach Software Engineering and Large-Scale Software Development processes. His research interests remain centered on the nature of intelligence and artificial intelligence with a focus on merging the connectionist view of learning associations from data with the symbolic view of knowledge representation and inferencing.
