CS Seminar on Thursday, April 17, 2025 at 4:00 PM in Manchester 109

Join us Thurs, April 17 at 4! CS alum Kedi Zhang, SE at Google, will talk about Orion & how he was inspired in Dr. Errin Fulp’s networking class & learnt incomprehensible segfaults and the holy trinity of SE. Plus Nick Ladd & Zach Thomas on SE Career AMA.

Nick Ladd ’16 – Graduate with a dual degree in Computer Science and Business Enterprise Management, Nick is a software engineer at Salesforce in New York City. He is currently building enterprise e-commerce platforms that rival industry leaders like Shopify. Prior to this, Nick worked in the San Francisco Bay Area, where he contributed to early-stage startups as one of the first engineers, often coding in his pajamas  alongside co-founders in their apartments.

Zachary Thomas ’16 – Graduate with a dual degree in Mathematical Economics & Statistics, Zachary is a software engineer at Google Gemini. He manages data pipelines for a policy team. Before becoming an engineer, Zach spent ~5 years in data science roles. He has received (small) bonuses for memes made at work.

Kedi Zheng ’18 – Graduate with a BS in Computer Science, Kedi is a software engineer at Google’s network infrastructure group. He shepherds packets at work so people can watch cat videos. His networking training started in Dr. Errin Fulp’s Networking class where he learned how to write incomprehensible segfaults and learned the holy trinity of software engineering: memes, business handshakes and rickroll.

Can’t wait!
