Surveying the Landscapes of Modern Technology and Jobs in Computing by Dr. Ron Doyle

Join us Monday, November 10 at 4:00 PM in Manc 024! Dr. Ron Doyle will talk about Surveying the Landscapes of Modern Technology and Jobs in Computing.
This seminar will begin with an overview of modern computing technologies, programming languages, and software development methods. The majority of the time will be spent examining a wide range of computing-related jobs and roles, with a detailed focus on the technical skill requirements and daily expectations for a selection of these roles. Attendees will also receive guidance on staying current with technology and navigating the job search process for internships and full-time positions. This seminar is intended for students currently or considering majoring or minoring in computer science. This is the third in a series of three fall seminars hosted by Dr. Ron Doyle, Katherine and Dickerson Wright Presidential Chair in Computer Science and Entrepreneurship.
