A switch flipped, and I went from hating it (computer science course) to actually understanding it and then eventually liking the complexity and challenges of it. I liked that I was doing something different than all of my peers, and I stuck with it through high school.

I give my mother full credit when it comes to computer science’s place in my life. Throughout high school, it was evident that I had a natural talent and interest in the sciences. With this knowledge, my mother slowly started to mention computer science in our daily conversations.
