Adjunct Instructor, Interaction Design: Art and Algorithm

The Department of Art and the Department of Computer Science at Wake Forest University seek an adjunct instructor for Spring 2027 to teach a cross-listed course tentatively titled “Interaction Design: Art and Algorithm.” The course bridges visual arts and computer science, combining principles of artistic design with computational thinking to create interactive digital experiences. Students will develop user-centered designs while learning the technical constraints and possibilities of digital interfaces — with projects ranging from interactive art installations to functional web applications. Along the way, students will explore how aesthetic decisions shape user experience, and how technical limitations shape artistic choices. MFA or equivalent required.
